| Looks a pretty balanced group this, don't really know who's the best etc. I'll go for Russia, and Greece, I think they had a decent qualifying campaign. | |

| One things is for sure in this group, there will not loads of goals. All of the sides struggle up front | |

| Russia and Poland for me. Russia have got a good crop of players from CSKA and Zenit. Alexandr Kerzhakov can prove a threat if he brings his goalscoring form from Zenit. Their midfield looks solid with the likes of Alan Dzagoev and Roman Shirokov players to watch out for. Poland have looked impressive in recent friendlies and with players such as Lukasz Pisczcek, Kuba and Robert Lewandowski, they can pose a threat to the other teams in the group.
The Czechs have got good individuals but as a team, they haven't really looked as a cohesive unit and can't see them posing a threat. With Greece, even though they had a good qualifying campaign, they do lack a goalscorer. Georgios Samaras doesn't hit the net on a consistent basis and Theofanis Gekas has had a quiet club campaign.

| Ah yeah I forgot about Lewandowski. Maybe Poland then, not sure, they'll have 'home advantage' as well. All of 'em will fancy their chances of getting out of this group. | |

| very soft red card for the Greeks. Hope the reffing isn't going to be like Seoul 2002! | |

| It was ridiculous that red card yeah. Two good games though, Russia looked impressive again and you'd fancy them to finish top, group's nicely balanced. | |

| The Polish goal (not even gonna attempt to spell the guy's name!) was excellent, one of the best so far, if not the best.
Still all to play for in this group.

| Poland 0-1 Czech Republic Greece 1-0 Russia
What a turn up in this group. And the fine lines between success and failure have never been more clearly illustrated than the last few seconds of the Poland v Czech Republic match with that amazing headed clearance by the Czechs.

| Can't believe Russia! A lot of people were tipping them to go far after the first game, and it was hard to argue against that, they looked awesome. Thrown it away since then, credit to Greece and Czech Republic though. I suspect the teams in Group B will be happy Russia didn't get through. | |

| I don't think no one expected them two to go through. Like FI said, after the 4-1 win over the Czechs, Russia were being tipped as dark horses to go far but they threw it away the last two games. Poland seemed like a team that could only play for 1 half during their 3 games. Credit to the Czechs and the Greeks but I can't see them advancing any further with them likely to face the big boys from Group B. | |
