My Predictions

Netherlands 3-1 Denmark
Germany 2-0 Portugal

Germany and Holland to go through!

Germany and Holland for me too. Whenever I see Portugal's results they are never convincing, think they drew 0-0 with Macedonia the other week and they had a really dodgy qualifying campaign.

Germany and Netherlands. We all know how talented these two teams are and Germany are my pick to win the tournament.

Portugal had a below par qualifying campaign and lost out to Denmark in the qualifying group and Denmark have got a cohesive team but I think the Germans and the Dutch have got too much for the Portuguese and the Danes.

First surprise of the tournament:

Netherlands 0-1 Denmark.

How Holland didn't score I don't know.

Netherlands can't blame anyone but themselves. They had their chances but Denmark will be loving it. They got Portugal next who they overcame in qualifying and 3 points against them and they could have virtually wrapped up qualification for the next round.

The Dutch defence doesn't look too good either.

FT Germany 1-0 Portugal.

Denmark did very well, looked not only solid but decent going forward too. Big task now for Holland, if they lose to Germany next they'll be out/almost out.

The Germany v Portugal game just then wasn't the best but good result for Germany, was hard to break Portugal down. If Portugal had been a bit more positive they'd have probably got something, the last 10/15 mins showed that they had enough in their ranks to cause Germany problems going forward.

Not an eventful game but until the goal, it seemed like Portugal were content to keep it 0-0 but like FI said, they created opportunities after the goal and did cause problems for the Germans. Must win game on Wednesday against Denmark.

Ronaldo misses a sitter on 78' and 2 minutes later Denmark equalise with Bendtner's second goal.

Postiga puts Portugal back in front wit a goal on 87'. A stunner at the second attempt.

Portugal did their best to mess things up and there was some dodgy defending from bot sides.

FT Germany 2-1 Holland who are now teetering.

They've still got a bit of a chance, Holland. They'll have to peform better though.

For any other saddo who wants to "watch" both matches tonight, I ran stream from the site I added to the streaming thread http://www.eplsite.com/ to keep an eye on the Greece game last night and it was clear and stable.

I have got a feeling that the Dutch could qualify tonight. All they need to do is win by two goals which they are capable of doing and I expect the Germans to defeat the Danes.

Holland 1 up, good goal from Van der Vaart, but Denmark are drawing 1-1 with Germany atm.
