Rafael Van der Vaart with a long range strike which i think Scott Loach will be disappointed at letting past him.

| Shocking result for Hull today but as I said on this thread it was always going to be a tough game. Hopefully it may help us in the long run in terms of the league. | |

| OK, the first thing to say is that we didnt deserve to win. However, neither did Brighton. A draw would have been correct. The ref failed to spot a blatant handball and give us a penalty. How is it allowed to wave your arms into the path of the ball and not concede a penalty?!?! There was no way it was ball to hand. Rant over. Hopefully the Juve game will calm me down! | |

| FT: Sunderland 1-1 Middlesbrough
Barry Robson opened the scoring with a cracking strike but Robson was at fault for Sunderland's equaliser when his attempted pass was intercepted by James McClean and he advanced forward, played through Fraizer Campbell to shoot first time.
